Community Guidelines
Olympia is a place to ask questions, test ideas, and learn from each other. Keep your markets clear, your participation honest, and your disagreements respectful.
These guidelines apply to public markets and private Circles.
1. Create clear, verifiable markets
Ask a specific question with a clear closing time and objective resolution criteria. Name the source that will determine the result and explain how ties, cancellations, or unclear results will be handled. Multiple-choice markets must cover the possible outcomes and have exactly one winner.
2. Treat people with respect
Disagree with predictions without attacking the person making them. Do not post hate speech, slurs, threats, targeted harassment, or content that dehumanizes people. These rules apply to market questions, options, descriptions, images, comments, and profiles.
3. Do not encourage harm
Do not create markets that encourage, reward, or organize violence, self-harm, abuse, or other dangerous or illegal activity. Do not target an individual with a market about their death, injury, or victimization.
4. Respect privacy
Do not share private contact information, addresses, credentials, or other sensitive personal information without permission. Do not create invasive markets about someone’s private life. Keep private Circle content within the Circle.
5. Use appropriate content and images
Only upload images you have permission to use. Explicit sexual content, graphic violence, and hate symbols are not allowed. Do not use misleading images, impersonate another person, or imply an endorsement that does not exist.
6. Participate honestly
Do not use fake accounts, coordinated deceptive trading, or artificial activity to mislead others or exploit rewards and subsidies. Do not spam duplicate markets, comments, or promotions. A different opinion is welcome; deliberately misleading people is not.
7. Resolve markets fairly
Resolve using the criteria stated when the market was created and include evidence for the result. Do not change the meaning of a question to favor your own position. If the result cannot yet be verified, wait. Contact support if the criteria cannot be applied fairly.
8. Report problems
Use the report button on a market to flag a concern. Include enough context for us to review it, and do not submit false or retaliatory reports. Olympia may remove content, restrict accounts, or cancel markets when these guidelines are violated.
